What will you do?
Driscoll’s EMEA Supply Chain Department is responsible for the flow of berries, packaging and plants between the original producer and the customer with the aim to add value, maximize profitability through efficiency, and achieving high customer service level. In the role of the Packaging Planning Manager you are leading the day to day operation for all packaging material planning activities, with overall responsibility for the on-time delivery of all packaging materials across Driscoll’s EMEA sites through strategy development and planning policy standardization. You will directly contribute to the company’s financial performance by delivering operating cash savings and consistent material availability through the application of lean planning principles.

A few of your tasks

You are responsible for accurate and correct stock levels and the administration of packaging materials for the European market.

You will lead and execute the technical/supply related packaging projects as a partner for the marketing department, sales and operations.

You will collect and receive feedback from growers and internal stakeholders on current packaging and the introduction of new packaging materials.

You will be aware and keep up to date of the new developments and trends in the packaging market and translate them to new concepts which fit Driscoll’s.

You will lead and participate in productivity projects, eliminating all forms of waste.

You will manage the packaging team and ensure all employee life cycle programs are managed appropriately ensuring development of the individuals and functionality.

  • 8:00Starting the day in the Breda office with a bowl of fresh berries whilst planning the day activities, reading emails
  • 9:00 Meeting with marketing and sales regarding a new sustainable packaging material for the Scandinavian market
  • 11:00During preparing of a report regarding stock levels of packaging material on all sites, one of your team members reaches out as she needs help solving an urgent issue.
  • 12:00Lunch with colleagues in the cantine
  • 13:00Meeting with a packaging supplier regarding new material and pricing
  • 14:30Videocalls with several growers in Europe to receive feedback regarding new packaging
  • 16:00Preparing visit for a packaging fair in Germany
  • 17:00Planning the following day and wrapping up
What is your background?

A bachelor’s degree, preferably in Economics or Demand & Supply Chain Management.

Experience in distribution or inventory management in an international environment.

Experience in leading successful cross-functional supply chain projects.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills in and international environment, advanced level of English.
