What will you do?
Driscoll’s EMEA Supply Chain Department is responsible for the flow of berries, packaging and plants between the original producer and the customer with the aim to add value, maximize profitability through efficiency, and achieving high customer service level. In the role of the Packaging Production Manager you will lead the organization’s paper packaging production plants in the EMEA region (Portugal, Spain, Morocco, France, The Netherlands) so that all production activities meet the organization’s short and long-term business objectives, and are conducted in accordance with the relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality standards. Furthermore you will also contribute to strategic planning and decision-making at the executive level to develop and implement production systems and processes that align with the organization’s overall vision and its current and long-term business objectives.

A few of your tasks

You will establish operating budgets; monitor the cost and effectiveness of production activities to optimize resources, prioritize spending, and achieve volume, quality, and manufacturing standards.

You will set, and monitor the performance of the plants against, standards and targets in areas such as manufacturing and administration efficiency, cost control, sales revenue, legal compliance, and human resource management.

You will develop and implement a variety of operating policies and procedures to ensure that the plant meets it current and future production targets and quality standards.

You will research, evaluate and recommend investments in technology, capital, equipment, systems, or other assets that will enhance the plant’s production capabilities.

You will lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of functional and operational managers or other professionals to ensure that the plant meets its established targets and standards.

What is your background?

A bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or other relevant field.

Several years of experience as Production Manager in Food & Beverage Operations and/or Manufacturing.

Expertise in developing, implementing, and optimizing production processes and procedures.

Deep knowledge of quality standards and health & safety regulations.

Experience in performance evaluation (KPIs) and budgeting concepts.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills in and international environment, advanced level of English.
